Joaquin Capelle- Head Guide

Joaquin Capelle was born and raised in Patagonia, Argentina where he grew up fishing for rainbow and brown trout. His passion for the outdoors turned into a profession at an early age, when he began guiding for fly fishermen and supported big game hunting trips in Patagonia.  He combined both of his passions into a hunting and fishing consultant agency.

During his 30-year guiding career Joaquin guided and chased many species across the Americas, such as the golden dorado in Argentina, snook, tarpon and permit in the flats of Florida as well as salmon in Alaska. He spent last three summers guiding for Chinook, Sockeye, and Coho on the Nushagak River.

In the fall you can find Joaquin in the mountains of New Mexico and Utah guiding for elk, mule deer, and pronghorn antelope, or chasing trophy whitetails and mule deer in northwest Kansas with his archery tackle where he resides.

After the fishing and hunting season end in the United States Joaquin travels to Patagonia as a guide to flyfish for trout, salmon and golden Dorado and doubles as a hunting guide to go after free range red stag. Some of Joaquin’s other passions are trekking/camping with family and friends, skiing or flying his motored powered parachute.
